oh man!  today was 95 degrees….maybe more.  i dont know.  i was sweating at 9am and you can only go downhill after that.  naturally, on a day like today, I think about what i like to wear in the summer, which is as close to nothing as possible.  i have a nice little collection of white and cotton dresses that i’ll be posting soon which will be perfect for such an occasion.  a couple have some really beautiful stitch work as well.  but, my true litmus test for a summer dress is how it looks when held up to the sun.  i can’t really describe it but it makes me happy when i see it…the colors go a bit softer, the fabric is a touch transparent, and you can’t help but go ahhhh.  some of the dresses are hanging in my bathroom (as i just washed them by hand)…the sun is setting on them and i just want to stare at them until it’s dark. (the heat has obviously gone to my brain – ha).
